Default devoid warranty

ok, so i know that if the dealer knows that you put aftermarket parts on your car thay can devoid your warranty. what i'm wondering is, does the same go for mopar parts, since they are authorized parts?

That depends.... did you install them or did an authorized Mopar Technician? Self installs or installs by anyone NOT ASE certified may lead to void of factory warrantied parts.

dont know about that ... cause i was thinkin the same thing... dont change anything or it might void my warrenty .... ( i even got the extended) but i been talking to peeps and they said as long as you using mopar parts ... its covered. as a matter of fact i even called the dealer i bought my ride from...had to talk to 50 different peeps but the final guy i talked to said the same thing " hey ... as long as your using mopar"not once did anything come up about ..." hey ... we gotta install it though " but im in az... doubt it would be different but just call your dealer and ask.... that why im upgrading to all srt parts

I believe the Dealer has to prove that the part you installed is what caused the warrantied part to break or malfunction. They can not require you to use their part unless they offer that part for free. Let me look up that law and I will post a link to it.
