Default exhaust question

I have a 2001 dodge neon se and was thinking about upgrading to a cat back dual exhaust system. But the thing is that my muffler does not stick out of the back it is kind of hidden underneath the rear pannel. It does not curve to the side or anything its just hidden. Would that stop me from being able to put in a new exhaust system? Cause i really dont want to be cutting into the rear pannel. Any comments, ideas, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Nope. It won't limit you in any way. And you won't have to cut the bumper. Just find the exhaust you want an dget it it will bolt up provided it's for your year neon.

Not to jack his thread, but I thought I would put this in here instead of starting up a new thread. Anyways I'm about ready to replace the exhaust. I haven't been able to find an exhaust I like though. I'm not a fan of the dual exhaust look, and I haven't seen hardly any single tip exhausts. I thought I saw something in a car magazine for a flowmaster single exhaust system, but I think it must of been for 1st gen cause I don't see it for my car when I'm at their site. So anyways, I think I'm probably going to get some piping from Trubendz and get a muffler welded on it. I'm thinking 2.5 inch piping should be a good size for me, I'm planning on staying all motor so I think 2.5 should be a perfect size for that (lots of mods will be coming down the further down the road). Good plan, better idea?
