Default INDY Intake Manifold

Are the Indy Intake Manifolds worth it? Do you feel a power increase? What would you all get first; a manifold or a carbon fiber hood with hood scoops? If I would get a manifold, would you wait to install the fuel injectors?

Indy manifolds are not worth it IMO, you need to be producing a lot of air flow to see any type of performance gain out of it. I've heard they are good for forced induction, turbo mainly but other than that they are kind of a waste if you aren't already producing enough power to warrant it. I'd save your money and get a short runner box-style manifold. You lose a little low end with it but not nearly as much as with an Indy.

I can put together a box-stlye manifold for you if you have a 1st gen SOHC. I've got pictures of one around here somewhere I was making for someone. Lemme know if you want to see pics.

Does it have a plastic manifold? If so I could put one together for you.

I had an INDY manifold but took it off. The best IM to use is the stock one. Just get it extrune honed (sp.). The gains you see from that will be better overall than an Indy, not to mention it will save yo about a hundred bucks.

I don't think it is plastic. I'm just going to forget about the manifold.

Check it, if its not the R/T than its probably plastic. Mine is plastic, or something similar to plastic. It sure isn't metal, I know that much.

If it's plastic I'll be more than happy to put an intake together for you.

How much would it cost to get you to build an intake? Can you give me anymore details about it? As soon as we get project neon back on track we will deffinatly want one.

We are still talking about the manifold right? I'm saying that because you said intake. I have an AEM CAI just so you know.

Show me pictures of what you have made.
