I have a 2002 Neon and the speedo and gas gauge needles have become posessed. They bounce all around while driving and continue to do so after shutting the car off. The speedo needle has wrapped all the way around and is stuck against its resting pin. Anybody have any ideas as to what could be causing this?

have u tried disconnecting the gauge cluster and reconnecting it? givin it a hard reset taht way may fix it.

 

They have problems witht the solders or the rear of the cluster. You can either resolder the cold connections which is not to hard or you can go to a junk yard or ebay and pick one up for $50 or so.
