Whats the difference between a NEON R/T and a NEON ACR?

 

The ACR has Dynamic Suspension double adjustable inverted struts, 15" wheels, and they had the "option" of not having power accessories and A/C. They both have the same engine, transmissions, etc...they also have different front bumpers and side skirts.

 

Not entirely true on the 1st gen neon engines. ACR sedans came with a SOHC engine and the Coupes came with the DOHC. All R/T's came with the DOHC engine regardless if body type.

 

Yeah I was referring to the 2nd Gens...I dont know enough about 1st Gens .

 

well my neon has two doors and has a DOHC motor. I am trying to figure if mine is R/T or ACR? It dont say anything on my car that tell me which on it is.

 

Seeing from your sig, you have a 97. 1st gen R/T's were only available in 98 & 99. R/T's and ACR's both have leather wrapped steering wheels and shifter **** and rear sway bars. ACR's have no side molding and fog light bumpers with no fog lights.

the r/t's had the solid colored squiggly interior that went with the car....red car, red interior....black car, red interior.....white car, blue interior.....blue car, blue interior......(only colors r/t's were offered in)

 

Yes I do have picks of my car. And my steering wheel Is kind like leather, also my shift **** is leather. My seats have like the squiggly interior my car is purple with black interior.

My front bumper has holes for fog lights but I dont have any.

 

if the car is purple then it isnt an r/t......unless it was repainted
