Unhappy Cruise Control

I own an '08 NITRO SXT and the cruise control quit working the other day. I've been researching this problem and found that many times it can be a bad brake light switch but my brake lights are working properly.

I tried to find if there is a fuse listed in the owners manual for this but there doesn't seem to be one.

Any info/help would be greatly appreciated. I honestly can't afford to take this to the dealership.

Angry Update

Okay, when I drove to work early this morning, lights on, I tried the cruise and the darn thing worked! Then when I got off work I tried it on the highway I always drive on and it didn't work again. So I thought that maybe (?) having the headlights on had something to do with it because that is the only thing different from my morning and afternoon commute but it still didn't come on.

Maybe try doing a reset on the pcm. It could have a little error that is making it sparadic. The cruise is controlled thru the ETC is all.

tlawer, how do I do that? I don't know what the "pcm" nor the "ETC" are.

I was wondering if I should disconnect the battery for a few minutes, then re-connect. Is that what you're talking about?
