well i dont rant much and never have on hear but i got a rant on a dodge product that i think is a **** poor design . Now im no stranger to mopar , owning from back in the day a D-50 , a few jeeps , two 1500's , a durango , a 2500, and now a nitro .

my bitch.... now the wife loves the nitro , and i think its a hell of a mid size 4x4 , but out off all these mopars this one gets my fuse lit . with her first oil change due i as i always do , i did the service . while draining the oil i went to the oil filter ....what a **** poor design . you cant just un screw it ohhh no . you have to unbolt the fukn crossmember to get the damm thing out . what a Pain IN the ***. what were the enginers thanking when they did this ? 3 ways to get to it , first you can unbolt the crossmemebr , second you can take out the coolint and washer fluid holding tanks , or you can have lil robot hands to fit in a 3" slot to get to it . all in all took 1hr to do that is a shame for a 10 min job . good job mopar , just another service you can chalk up on the less skilled , making a oil change hard for the average joe .

 

That is dumb they designed it like that. Makes you wonder why they have to make things difficult for guys who like to do their own work.

 

the sway bar and lower portion of the radiator are in the way but they are accessable from the bottom if you bend your elbow.
they are easier under the vehicle and require no unbolting

 

That BLOWS!! it makes it hard on their own mechanics also

 

its not dumb. they designed it that way so you would bring it to the dealer...

 

thats sounds all nice but i have man hands and big round arms , these aint fittin in their.

 

You need to get yourself some girly hands and skinny arms and you will be set.

 

only time this will see a fukn dealer is if its warranty work . not paying for a oil change sorry .

 

well if my 6 year old daughter wasnt all into playing barbies i would of had her get in their .
