Default Georgia Boy's meet & greet & dyno day *tomorrow*

many probably know about this, I am just extending this over here since there are some georgia boys here as well.

anyhoo, there will be a meet and greet + dyno going on Apr 28th at Reeves speed shop in Warner Robbins. we are meeting up at the Waffle house on exit 146 then moving to the shop.

this is not limited to diesels and those living in Georgia, however that is what will be there for the most part. the dyno will be open and we'll be cookin hot dogs and hamburgers.

so if you're game lemme know.

Hey Drew.... I just may show up it that's cool. It may be more fun than that Landmark Dodge deal at the track. Although, Dunbar is suppose to have a dyno there. The meet in Gatlinburg was cool, we meet a bunch of real nice people from VA but ! Dunbar's dyno broke down and even if it didn't break down... unless you knew someone, there was no getting a ride. Is this dyno you guys have a respectable one ? I hear not many will acknowledge numbers from a dyno unless it's Dunbar's ?

Although I'm still pretty stock, I'd sure like to get on a dyno to see where I'm at before the big changes start. That will be real soon too. I'll be coming to see Jeff for some tranny work. I was real jealous of the guys pulling and dragging. If I only had a tranny [sm=badbadbad.gif]

Several of us when to a drag track Friday night. There sure were some FAST Dsnacks. Saturday we when to the local fairgrounds and several truck were able to do some pulls. It was the high light of the night for the spectators ! A Dodge dually is the only one to make a full pull :-) The real show was in Pigeon Forge though with the Rod Run. Whole crap! It literally took me ( and I'm not kidding ) 2hrs to drive 2 miles..... I think it was about a foot at a time. It was worth it though, there were some bad *** rides all over !

Anyway... like you care ;-) Hamburgs and hotdogs sounds good :-)

Ive met David. . .only had a few words with him, he also has Jeff just about wrapped around his finger. unless youve got money he's not interested. Jeff Garmon is a nice guy and does damn good work. . .just way too buisy to sit down with guys like us sip some joe and chat.

you are more than welcome to come. the guy has a superflo dyno with the correction software to push it to dynojet numbers which are generaly higher. The main reason people get picky about Davids dyno is eveyone likes to think of him as the diesel God. To me all dyno's are going to be close, 10-15hp one way or the other depending on calibration. $75 for three runs. I'm not sure how many we will get on the dyno in one day, and even is we dont I know we'll have a good time.

I believe David is in Las Vegas right now with his choice dyno. A guy named Mike who I guess works for David was running this one. I was pretty shocked at his attitude. I asked about getting my name on the list for the dyno and I was told... there's no way for the free run. After 5 I could have paid the $75 for 3 runs but, I was told.... " if I feel like it " I thought to myself as Mayfair would say.... Pffftt !! I understand being tired after doing dyno's all day but that's not a attitude I or many others can respond to well. Seems to me after doing free runs all day, you'd be happy to accept some cash. Someone told me that there was no way anything was going to happen after 5 that he just tells you that to tell you want you want to hear.

I don't know these people so maybe there's more to it but, I know there were quite a few that drove a LONG way that weren't very happy.

Do you have an idea of how many people are lined up for your get together ? I just maybe there if I can get the wife to let me go play instead of doing chores :-)
