I just bought a 2007 Cummins 5.9. I want sound and have considered removing both the CAT and the muffler and just exhausting straight. What is everyone's thoughts on this and if anyone has what are the differences. I live in Texas and am not sure about the new emissions testing which may include diesels.

 

if you have emissions testing on gassers then you do need to read up. I know in Georgia diesels are consitered alternatively fueled vehicles. . .no emissions inspection

straight pipe will be loud and you may had a drone at highway speeds.
