what gets me is toyota and ford are competing in the 1/2 ton trucks, claiming they've upgraded brakes, engines, frames, ect so you can hual more. Here's a thought, if you need to haul that much, get a 3/4 ton or a 1 ton.A half ton is supposed to be a half ton.
I love the new comercial. Toyota comes out with "The New Tundra" and claims 10000lb towing. Old mother Ford let's them brag and then BAM "The New F150" 11000lb towing. I got a good laugh out of it. Can you imagine towing max with either one of those trucks, NOT ME!

I absolutely agree with you Jake. I was doin a bit of thinkin today and I have decided on the theory that half ton pickup trucks are becoming extinct. Everyone wants what the heavy duties have but at the half ton price. I mena look they are upgrading towing and engines/ ie dodge diesel half tons 2009. It seems like sooner or later the half ton will just be scrapped. It just seems like all the half tons are becoming more like their manlier big brothers that sooner or later the half ton will be gone
I miss understood ? I put no cause its a clean job. Just dirty trucks
I think telling people a f-150 will tow 11 thousand pounds is as dirty as you can get, but then I don't belive they are dropping 2000 pounds in the back of that toyota without breaking a few things either
