Default holley blue

Ok can someone school me on the holley blue pump? My truck is a 2000 dodge ram 2500 is it good to use this pump and what is the best way to install it. Is this pump also a pump that can take the fuel so that I don't have to replace it in a week or 6 mounths?

I'm assuming your talking about a lift pump. I think of holley as a gasser company and everything they sell for diesels is just modified gas parts. I would insted go with a FASS system since it was built for diesels. Helped put one on my buddies truck, mine is next after the trans problem.

Ya but that price is killing me $400.00 for just a starter pump with no fillters and what $700.00 for the hole shotting match. Don't get me started with the trans thing I just got mine done. What a pain and dealing with sun coast did not help.

that's why I'm ditching the auto for a manual. FASS is expensive but from what I've seen, it is worth it. I haven't seen the holley setup on a truck yet to tell if it is any good or not.

That seems to be the thing nobody nows any thing about it it's like a ufo they have heard about it but nobody has seen it. By the way what is the ring and does my 2000 have one that needs to be removed?

the ring is a silencer ring on the inlet of the turbo. A snap ring hold it in place. here's the diy thread

What did you think of the installation jake? I'm probably going to be ordering mine on friday. Do you think "I" could do the job myself?

Definatly a mayfair job, could possibly take a weekend and a keg of beer though. I got the Install file here on my computer with pics and everything. as for the turbo, no performance gains, just louder.

I was just gonna follw this guy's install

http://ramchargercentral.com/index.p...owtoshow;id=91

but if you have something better then yeah, I'd like to see it. I'm cool with the installation of the pump and running the fuel line to the tank, but it's the electrical and fuel up by the engine that kinda got fuzzy with this guy's description.
