Pretty much the same thing I got, the fuel line runs right up to your injection pump when you get the fass with filters.

Is the fuel heater in the stock fuel filter housing, or can i bypass that filter altogether?

I think these two wires on top are for the fuel heater. Where I live you don't need a heater, if I get the fass, I'll probably get a magnetic blanket heater to put on the filters which would also help protect the filters.
