All the power in the world wont get a dump truck in the 12s!
I would't necessarily say that, If you've ever seen tractor pulls, they are building some big big numbers out of those engines. If they were to put one of those engines in a dump truck with a built auto, they might come close.
word has it that theres supposed to be a DIESEL pick up truck "open" event here in Phoenix at Firebird Raceway this summer.
this is for YOU, the proud owner of any diesel powered pick up!
you can go against the sled pull, jump on the dyno machine, and more!
(I am tryin to get verification of it from the track)....
For anyone who is interested and close enough, there is a totally diesel event on in August near Edmonton, Alberta, known as the Annual August Blackout. They have drag racing, sled pulling, dynos, show n shine etc etc. This is organised by a bunch of guys in Edmonton who run North American Diesel Performance and specialise in tuning/tweaking diesel trucks of all types.
