So i ordered the smarty? and the edge comp and plan on stacking them? although i dunno exactly what that means... and as far as the edge goes i have a basic idea of what it dose and how it works.... now when it comes to the smarty here i have no concept of howit works at all any info i can get on it would be great so i can get a basic idea of whats goin on........... and also how do you use the two together as far as the settins go( u just set one and it controls the other also or do u have to change your settins on both)....... the moral of this story is i know nothing about what i just bought and need any help i can with gettin some basic knowledgeof the system i hope i didn't confuse you too bad cuz i sure as heck confused my self.

 

The idea of stacking is to use the box and the programmer to control seperate functions. For example, if you have abox that modifies your fuel timing and duration, you want a programmer that controls boost pressures and rail pressure. Generally each box or programmer has certain functions that it controls. Most of them don't control or modify everything, so by stacking them, yo uare maximizing the total package, not just a system or two.

That Comp and Smarty will be a good combination. Just be sure to use the settings on the Smarty that DO NOT advace the timing, as the Comp box already does that.

ok so heres what i got on my little online shopping spree
1. Edge Comp
2. Smarty
3. Walbro electric lift pump system
4. X monitor pryos, boost, tran temp
5. Vaporizor stage 3 injectors 110 HP

i already have an oversized holset turbo on it which im told was custom built by a guy in town here
also a air raid intake system,,, 4" straight piped cat cut off also

would there be anything u might sugest i add or chage to this set up... thnx very much

 

lets see. . .you got gages, bigger sticks. . .better lift pump, I can see a new valve body, torque converter, and a billet input shaft in your future.

 

i forgot to mention that i just got the trans rebuilt, new transfer case, and converter i gett it back today can't wait its been a week and a half. it all comes with a one year warranty and i asked him if the mods i bought for it would void the warranty and he said no as long as its not ruined by over heating it....

 

Maybe a really big trans cooler is next

 

maybe just get another radiator and use that as the trans cooler[8D]

 

I was thinking the air to air cooler out of a kenworth with a c-15 would work.
