Well is everyone sitting down the window replacement cost was $1322.00 Canadian installed Window Cost $957.65 my cost $100 deductable. Here is a piece of information that people probably dont know. Daimler Chryslers warranty does not warranty this glass for defects etc.

They wanted $490 to fix the passenger side window mine. I told them it wasnt an insurance claim and they knocked it down to $190, funny how that works. No wonder insurance is as high as it is.

My agent told me that generally anytime the company pays out, your premiums will go up, comprehensive coverage or not. I did find this for you though

with Allstate, we pay an extra $25 or so every 6 months for glass. our rates do NOT increase with window claims. hell, Ive burned through 6 or so windshields in 5 years (all different vehicles)and my rates have gone down. even had the glass package on my 2 classic air cooled vw's tillI learned a new windshield and gasket is a total of $50 cash at the vw shop. now the CTD just had a new one installed via insurance. that was about $400 or so.

 

My premium went up one time when I had glass busted out by a thief. Was about three years before it ever dropped down below where it was. What a bummer I must live in one of the get screwed over states.
