I've seen duals on diesels, but I'm still not sure how it's done ( where the crossover takes place )

Props to you though for hooking your boy up with duals !!! I'm sure he could care less how loud it is.

I'd get him the Silverlie Duals. My single is very quiet in the cab, almost like stock. Not too loud outside.

If all you want is duals and want to keep it quiet, all you need to do is get ay-pipe section added after the muffler and run it out both sides.

Any muffler shop that can do 4" tubing can do this.

Or you could buy a cat back system with either a muffler with single in / dual out or y-pipe after the muffler, but most of them will increase the noise.

There is no way to run TRUE duals on an inline diesel....unless you run a custom built exhaust manifold, dual turbos, dual mufflers, etc. Even on V8 diesels it would take 2 turbos and a lot of custom fab. Almost any diesel that you see with duals just has y or t-pipe section that splits the gases.

Y-pipe after the muffler would be with this part here.

Or a cat or turbo back system like this here.

You can see how even on a complete system, most of them just use a y-pipe after the muffler.

Cheap, easy and quiet would be y-pipe after the stock muffler.

Wow thanks !!

I always wondered how it was done. That's pretty cool how they turn the Y pipe and the tails cross over one another.

That's just how they do it on that particular system. It's a Bully Dog Rapid Flow.

Not all of them are stacked like that.
