I live in Seattle, if I lived anywhere else that DIDN'T rain, I'd have to move.

 

So, there is no way to prevent the water fromsitting in the bottom of the exhaust. What if you drilled and tapped a hole, then put a plug in and when you think it is getting full of water just drain the plug. So, if I got "donkey ears" I would not have to worry about that problem? I still think it would be a good idea to make a plug though

 

I think a plug wouldn't really help if you drive your truck much, the exhaust should just turn the water to steam. I know the turbo takes out some heat, but when I'm on the interstate the pyro usually runs from 600 to 800 degrees so the exhaust after the turbo should still be hot enough to get rid of any water. I guess if you got a ton of rain and didn't drive your truck ever it could fill up the pipe at the bottom and the truck wouldn't be able to start because the exhaust pipe is plugged, but that would take like 2 ft of rain.

 

Oh we get that in Seattle... No stacks for me. Haha.

Looks like you'll beat me to installing them. I was gone Friday when they tried to deliver mine but, they'll be here tomorrow !!

I think you, like myself will be very happy with them. I've never seen so many stacks on trucks as I did in TN this past weekend. I had the chance to talk to several guys and look at several installs. I also sat in their trucks and listened. There really isn't much difference in how loud they are compared to the exhaust exiting the back of the truck.

A hint I'll past along to you. Personally, I wanted to be sure the hole I cut into the bed was done nice and clean. The cleanest install I saw was where the guy used a 6" hole saw and then lined the rim of the hole with some transmission hose that he split down the middle. It looked like the factory did it.

Triton. It will be a while before I get it in. Im looking at another set and will be combining the two and selling the extras. There will be an extra set of stacks if anyone is intrested.

I was going to use a plasma cutter to do my hole.
Iam also going to keep my AERO in with the stacks, because the consensus I have read on other boards is that the 3rd gen exhaust tone is much louder than the 2nd gens

 

I too am thinking of using my Aero but, I know you were asking if anyone knew where to get stack insert baffles. I may try those first. Grand Rock either has them now or will have some new extra quite baffles to put into the stacks eliminating the need for a muffler under the truck. I'll try to get a vid with sound once they're installed.
