Well gotta keep it kinda quiet cause some of the states I drive in. Lamar Colorado is one of the towns who will ticket you for anything even if its the way its suppose to be and I dont feel like getting pulled over at night cause im to loud so if i can get it big enough where at night i can just persay cruise and during day i can run it like it loves it

I've got 4" from the manifold back with a 5" tip on mine and its LOUD. Its not too bad in the cab, but its definitely known when you're driving around somewhere.

I'll prob cut the muffler out somehow and put a pipe there to see how it sounds and if its a bit loud I'll go find a 4in system. I just wanna be able to likecruise slowlyaround at night so I'm not waking ppl up

Mayfair you mean the car bashes? o we get to take a sledge hammer to the cars they total and I do mean total

If you want it realtively tame sounding, then leave the resonator and add a Magnaflow, MBRP or Silverline.

These things seem to get loud when you remove the cat or resonator and then go with straight through mufflers.

Honeslty, a cat doesn't rob you of any power at all. The one on mine was enormous. It has to be at least 8-9 inches in diameter and I can see right through it.

If you want it to have some rumble, but still be reasonable, then just do a muffler swap and leave the rest.

Thanks that is probably what I will do. I just have to find a way take my muffler out but If anything I may just get a whole new exhaust system cause I'm not sure I'll get some of it apart from each other.

Sure it will!

MBRP and Magnaflow have the muffler and s-pipe to fit directly where the old one comes out.

The inlet side slide onto your existing exhaust pipe and then the s-section after the muffler lines up the tail pipe.

Very easy swap. Even comes with the 2 new clamps / hangers. No welding required.

I'll get you a link here in a second.

Here is an example of the MBRP. It's on e-bay. This IS NOT the specific part number for your truck. This one fits the 04.5+ trucks.

I've seen much better prices for it. Like as low as $118, but SS is gonna run higher.

You can't see the bend in the s-pipe real well in this pic, but you can see that you'll have plenty of extra to cut out the muffler. Seriously, just cut it! It is SO much easier than trying to seperate you old system. When I was doing mine, I had full intentions of saving the old system and keeping it intact. YEAH.............2 hours later, out came the sawzall and I was done with the whole install in an hour.

Here is a link. You're looking for Magnaflow's Direct Fit series.
