Default 5 speed longevity?

I have heard of the 6 speed lasting as long as the cummins, but what about the 5 speed? I am considering a 2001 quad LB 4x4 with 183K miles, and I was wondering if the transmission will last long.

Default RE: 5 speed longevity?

I know of a 5spd with around 350000 miles on it and its had no trouble. Alot of it is just if you take care of it and keep it oiled right but I'd say they would last the same depending on driving style
