I've noticed that if it takes longer then normal for it to post a reply I hit the cancel icon and wait 10 second or so and then hit the reply icon again and post my message. Very seldom will I have to try and post it more then one time.

Ok its done now time will tell if this made a differance or not. Another question though, it does have a water sensor on the filter housing. If I had water would this not of turned on the warning light? How much water in the fuel does it take to turn on this light?

all the way up to the level of the sensor, about a cup.

the sensor pics up on the conductivity of the fluid around it. Diesel is lighter then water so it floats on water. When enough water collects, it covers the sensor.

Well the fuel filter didn't change the symptom. One more thing I have noticed that when its pulling hard its usually running around 2300rpm's and when its ******* down its usually around 1500 rpm's this is one of the things that make me think its not choosing the optimum gear on each hill despite being in the tow/haul mode. One other thing is that if I set the cruise control it does not happen as it seems to shift down as needed with the cruse on but not if you are driving with your foot! Any other ideas before I head to the dealer?

Well if it does not do it with the cruise on then take it in to be looked at as it may just need to have the ECM code updated a part changed or a cable adjusted. Have you tried towing with the trans set in the OD off mode? I still think you need to take it in to be looked at by the Dodge.

Yes I have but did not make a difference. I figure I probably will have to take it in but the techs diagnostic ability at the local dealer leave a lot to be desired so the more info I get the less time it will be there and the better chance of getting this resolved the first time.

I would definately tell them that little tidbit of info. Perhaps you should take your trailer along with you to the dealer and show them what's going on rather than tell them. I know it'll probably be a pain, but it may help.

Good luck !!
