thats how much an oil dipstick costs! i broke mine cuz ...well cuz im short. i was no the bumper of the truck and i slipped and put my hand down to not fall on the engine and by doing so i broke the handel on the dipstick. so yeah..i got butt raped over this.
would anyone happen to know where i could get a metal handel dipstick?

Hey Cookie... Don't be too hard on yerself .... I too am a short one even shorter now with suspension kit and 35" tall tires, truck is long way up for me. I was replacing bushings on the front shocks and some how managed to pinch the line to the shock resivor and lost all the shock oil,all over me and the truck. After running from one end of town to the next picking up shock oil ($100.00)and new steel braided line($35.00) for resivor then back to cycle shop to charge (nitrogen) up shocks ($20.00/ shock X 4).[>:] Maybe it was a good thing it happened as it did, Iended up replacing regular shock oil for synthetic oil on all four (better for the cold winter days)

 

like mayfair said, check the a yard. Unless your lazy then just get one from dodge. Sometimes it's not worth the hassel.

 

I don't understand guys who pay $40k for a truck but complain about a measly $24 dollars for a dipstick. I understand how some prices can be ridiculous for certain things but it's only $24. Anyway, just venting no offense though.
