How does a dyno work? Do you drive on it, and rev to redline in first gear, or do you shift through all the gears?
Also, can I get my fat *** dually on one of those?

 

For duallys alot of dynos you have to take your two outside rear wheels off, and yes you drive on them and they strap your truck down

 

There is a place out here in monroe, dynomite diesel they have a dyno. I believe it's $75 for 3 runs. I've been meaning to get out there for awhile now.

 

The dyno we were at was pretty narrow, a dually would have had to remove the outside wheels for sure. One guy had to swap out his rear tires with Drew to fit on there. A guy with a two wheel drive regular cab got the highest numbers. I think he hit 401 HP. Drew has got video of every truck on the Dyno, I'm sure he'll post it soon.

I havent had much time to pull the vids off my camera, I'm hopeing on getting some time tomorrow after flogging a golf ball for 18 holes havent played for almost a month. . .I'm hopeing on breaking into the low 80's

edit: BTW, the dyno measures the increase in rotational force to calculate torque, then it multiplies that by the engine RPM's and divides that by 5252 to give you HP.

the dyno we used cost the guy about $50,000 and was in the floor. other dyno's are on trailers you drive onto.

 

Hey drew, I went golfiing yesterday, got a 68 on a 3 par 9 hole course and no, I wasn't drinking I just suck

 

I think golfing is more fun when u suck at it adn just don't really care.

 

dood. . .last time I was at a par 3 course I think I came away with a 40.

I like the long holes myself. . .farthest drive Ive had yet was right at 300 yards. whats worse is I can hit my 4 iron farther than my farther-in-law can hit his drivermy problem is I cant put for crap[:@]

 

Let's just say I was hitting the ball farther with a PW than a Driver Plus I almost killed 7 people One guy got pissed and started tearing into me about not yelling "four" I told him I was to busy telling myself "theres no way in hell thats gonna hit him"

 

yea, it's amazing how up tight some of these guys are. . .but then again I'm out there for recreation. . .they are probably playing for skins
