My '05 2500 4wd has rear disc brakes too, not only work god but look good too!
Speaking of looks, you guys wanted to see pics of my truck and toys, well here are some of them.

whats even cooler is that they are bigger! have to run 17" rims to clear them.

How often do you find yourself having to actually change the rear pads though? I'm tellin ya, I bet I got about 85K on my rear shoes beforeI had to change them. Did they put rear discs on there just for the WOW factor or what?

no, they put them on for stopping power... the bigger the better. disapates (sp??) heat better and allows better braking under heavy loads. the rears should last 80~100k depending on how heavy the loads are... I know when my fronts go, they are going to get upgraded to the PowerStop rotors & pads. had them on my 2000 gasser and they were awesome

The fronts I can see going hog wild with, but the rears? What's the point? Do you think disc's are stopping any better than shoes?
