Default RE: Fuel Additives

I don't trust the oil companys are looking out for us becasue if they did we would all be burning clean 50+ Centane fuel and not this crappy 40 Centane they give. It would cost more to make the better fuel so we get crapy and becaseu they can get away with it. Also if you buy some thing to put in your tank to get better mpg they make less money so they get people to tow the party line with reporters mag articles. Anyway I have started to use Lucas and am very happy with it compared to 2 cycle oil.

Like DBLR said... those damned hairy apes!!! Look what they've done!!

Remember way back when all they sold was leaded gasoline, then the do gooders screamed about lead poisoning, forcing the refineries to stop producing leaded gasoline (hot rodders everywhere fell to their knees, hands in the air crying ...our poor gassers) The refiners then produced or made available "unleaded" gasoline which they promptly charged more for, funny we paid more for something that required less additives and is naturally unleaded!? Oil producers, Auto makers and Govn'ts stand to make more money with lower grade/mileage fuels. Oil producers get to sell more fuel, Auto makers get to charge more for vehicles( to make em more environmently freindly and *snicker* more fuel effiecient) and Govn'ts can charge more "gas guzzler" tax.
