Default 12V advice, what to look for

I am looking at purchasing a 1997 2500 12V from a guy here in Colorado, see ad in link, and I was wondering what I should be looking for ie trouble spots.

Maybe this view will help explain the stacks under the bed.

Take it out for a test ride, see how it feels. Look at the paperwork to confirm the tranny is new. Check the brake lines, especially towards the rear. Look at the shocks, cab corners, etc. If he added the fuel plate, down pipe and exhaust, has he done anything for the intake air side?

Check the diff and see if they are dry, or drippin like niagra falls.....lol.

Check the whole thing out, ask questions.

Ultimately you'd want to lift it and feel the bearings, ball joints, and such.

Good luck if you buy that ride.
