I tend to like the powder coat black. Sometimes a small amount of contrast in colors lends itself to complimenting the larger base color, which in your case is the red on the truck.
I'm sure it'd look outstanding either way, but it's just me, I like the original set up.

very soon. I'm hoping I'll have them on by next weekend. They should be back the first of the week [sm=bounceybounce.gif]

Take a pic from a ways away.....kind of a whole truck view kind of thing. I think that will help with getting a better idea. Also, the more I look at it, the black is starting to grow on me. It's starting to take over from the pic I did.I think part of it is because the color is not an exact match.....

Chewy, that last one is the best. That's real good, go with that one.

I like the color match idea. Looks better that way, but that is just my personal opinion. I don.t like chrome on trucks. The only idea that I have is instead of chroming the top of the bumper, get line-x sprayed on it. The only issue would be uv fade. I do believe that they have stuff to protect it from that. It would make it non skid too. That way when you step onthe bumper to grab something out of the bedyou won't slip off and wrack your ***** on your hitch.

I like it black, the only thing I would consider if it were on mine would be some non skid on top sufaces (maybe linex) and some lights behind the cut out in the bumper. Nice addition!
