Does anyone know if you can get a tailgate locking handle using your ignition key? Just trying to eliminate having too many keys...

probably pretty doubtful unless they came OEM. Your best bet would be to buy the lock and have it tooled. I'm sure that wouldn't be very cheap though.

 

I know this isn't much help as I don't know the company name, but you can get an automatic tailgate lock that locks and unlocks with your remote. I know it sounds goofy but I had one in a previous truck for 3 years and no problems at all. I had mine wired so it unlocked with the passenger side door (just so I wasn't using it every time I was unlocking the driver's door).

 

I did remember coming across seeing a remote tailgate lock, JH, what did you pay for yours back then?

 

I don't remember exactly, but I'm sure it was less than $100.00. If I ever need a locking tailgate again (roll top, tonneau) this would be the only way I would go.
