Default Muffler delete on 6.7L 2007.5

Before you guys go out and purchase an aftermarket 4" or 5" cat back system get a load of this. We straight piped my new 07.5 today and it has made maybe 1% difference in (in cab) noise. Factory muffler is already straight through.

How much did they ding you to do the delete? I am thinking about it myself. Seems like the three "boxes" the exhaust already goes through would muffle the noise quite a bit.

The biggest cost was for the chrome tip. The whole job was about 125.00

So I guess that it's notmuch louder outside the cab either. I have been wanting to do that also if not just for the looks of the shiny stainless tip. I have heard that since the 6.7's go into regen mode the egts get pretty high and discolor the tips.

Sure is a nice clean Drive Shaft you 6.7L guys have. The 5.9's are rust buckets!!

Aluminum vs steel. I'll take the rusty ones.

On the 6.7 I think the mufflers are really only resonators.
