Default 2005 CTD Pickup

1. Did the 2005 Dodge Rams have the 7year 70,000 mile Power Train warranty on them? If so is this a one time deal or is this transferable to the second owner? I was going to keep my car and buy an older Ram pickup but I think I will trade the car off on a newer pickup. So far I have it narrowed down to a 2005 Black Quad Cab with a CTD, or a 2006 Red Quad Cab with a CTD.
2. Other than a different interior, front grill area and a little more power what are the differences between the 2005 and the 2006? Other than personal preference would there be any reason to choose one over the other? Both are short box, 4 wheel drive with the automatic tranny, ¾ ton, the 2005 having 23,000 miles while the 2006 has 3,500miles.
Thanks for the info, Jeff

Not in 2005, the warranty was only 3 yrs. or 36k. As far as which one to buy its a matter of preferance, I havent heard anything bad about the 06, Iam a bit partial to my 05, Im not a fan of the head lights on the 06...either way you cant go wrong with a Cummins.

Ihave the 05 but was more partial to the lights of the 06 ram I had. I think they would look real cool if you changed them to the 07 lights and added strobes. but I had to dump the Hemi (respectable gas motor) and step up to manhood with CTD

Iv got an 05 , and if Im not mistaken, it has the usual 3/36 plus 7/70 and a 100K warrenty on the engine.
And I believe the warrenty is transferrable.
They are both nice years but if it was my choice, Id go with the 06. More warrenty left. And from personal experience, Black is hard to keep clean.
Either way I feel you would be happy.
On either one Id do drivers seat improvement.
