Default engine speed sensor fault.

ok so i got this fault P0336 for engine speed sensor sender range performance. does any one know were the speed sensor is located on a 99 ram cummins. and do you know if this is the sensor that shows the tach its rpm signal, thanks Rane

the tach and engine speed sensor is read off the cam shaft sensor. drivers side of the block, just below the fuel filter canister. the sensor is probably going out.

is that the sensor under the injector pump?

not real sure. . .Jakebrake could probably say if it is or not.
