Cummins let PACCAR change the name of the engine, change the paint color etc. They wanted CAT to do the same, but Caterpillar will not go for that. The International thing is just something I heard....

well the all the new cat engine in on the road truck engine have waste gates the c-7 has a system called the smart waste gate.its electronic control waste gate that has a valve that controls the boost.the larger engine still have the regular manual watse gate mounted on the high pressure turbo.all engine larger then the c-9 have dual turbos.

the c7 turbo pretty much has the same internal design as the vt365 (6.0) turbo which concerns me. Hopefully they change the design just enough to keep from having all the problems I.H. did.

My friend has a f-650. spent over 150,000.00 on that beast runs 48 inch cement mixer tires and has a cat motor, this thing is nuts, when I had my 1500 it looked like he can park on top of my truck.
Where's the pics?????

A guy down the road from me has an F-650 w/ the cat. His is still a dually though. It is one bad truck. I will try to get pics next time I see him.
