took louie with me so he could swim. We went up to my favorite spot which had the trail partially covered in snow. There was a lifted chevy near by who I guess wasnt going to give it a shot to get up to where the parking area was... too much snow for him?? Only 1 truck with skinny tires made it thru from what I could tell so I saw it as a challenge. took me about 20 minutes but I made it So when we were parked, I cut the dog loose and we headed out on the trail... only to find the snow level getting deeper & deeper. After falling thru to my waist a few times we bailed on it and went back to the 2nd lake (Feely Lake) and found a spot for Louie to swim. He had a blast, played fetch for a while... tried to let him swim w/o the life vest but he still doesnt have the hang of it so I left it on.

After we were done we were going up to Lindsy lakes to check out the camping spots only to find a nice big chunck of snow blocking the road. tired to blast thru it only to get stuck (right rear tire spun and the front didnt seem locked for some reason). after getting free we headed on back to Bowman lake... a long dirt road with some steep hills to climb (easy really 2wd trucks can make it). half way to the back of the lake, I stopped for some pics and noticed that Louie barfed 2x in the truck. DOH! I guess he had too much water @ Feeley lake lol. We continued to the back of Bowman and decided to continue on to the next lake... Jackson Meadows IIRC. 6 miles of dirt roads, 4x4 low at times. plenty of awesome shots to take along the way. When we reached Jackson Meadows it was paved... Louie was thankful for that.. he passed out after that.

He could probably swim fine if he wasnt freezing his nads off! That looks way too cold for my taste...
look at that look...if only we knew what he was thinking...but then again its probably better we dont hehehe

 

I think it's great that your teaching him to drive tho, looks like he has it down pat.

I hate you[8D] Looks like I might have to take another trip this weekend. Looks like your roads are wider, I came back with battle scars. I've tried the whole waxing thing and even tried that scratch ex from miguares, still sticks out like a hairy in chicken soup.
