Yes I am trying to get rid of the CAT, but still want to have something that looks like a CAT for the inspections,
Aaaah ... NOW I get it

I'm pretty sure THIS will look like a CAT if you hang it there come inspection time ....

The Cat removed and what a differance, just put a stright pipe in and WOW.
The EGTS are lower ( not much but enough) 2.5 MPG better pulling a trailer I pull all the time, YES 2.5 MPG BETTER milage, it pulls longer and harder and even sounds better.
I am so comfortable with it towing now that my wife has started to drive it again when towing it just pulls, a great mod for sure.

awesome... now that it's out, keep an eye on your unloaded mpg... with the stock airbox in there your mileage may have only taken a slight dip unloaded. if you put a CAI in there it should drop some (unloaded), mine did with the CAI and just a 30" magnaflow muffler and no aero, adding the aero brought it back some. (4040 aero where the cat was & 30" mag where the stock muffler was)

when you do come to the realization that you want the best of both worlds I suggest one of these http://www.streetpro.us/PowerMasterPics.html with my setup used in the closed position, and the straight pipe in the open position... then you will have the best of both worlds...

adding the CAI will help more with the egt's so if you do add it, go with a mild setup like the AFE stage 2 with the small filter (non proguard 7 filter... the PG7 filter is huge)
