DAMN .... I'm trying to remember what he always says to look at ...

Demon is pretty much our 12 valve go-to-guy. He'd know for sure what to look for !!

I remember him saying something about making sure the diffs are dry, and that the steering ( components )are good. I believe he's also going to tell you to look at the brakes. He's also going to ask about service records.

But beyond that, I honestly think 13K for an 11 year old truck with 200K on it is a bit much. Probably twice as much as it should be, but I'm just guessing.

Best of luck to ya, and Welcome Aboard !! Hopefully Demon will show up and straighten up / make sense of my reccomendations.

ask the guy if the killer dowl pin has been tapped. . .this can cause MANY problems and will crack the front houseing if it falls out.

ask when the valves were lashed last. one last thing. ..auto or manual??

WAY TOO MUCH $$$ [sm=badidea.gif]

$5000 MAX.

test drive it. turn on the a/c, make sure the idle goes up when on. is it real rough at idle in drive (auto)?

look for leaks from:radiator, engine, trans, rear diff, and brake cylinders.

I jumped into my 93 ctd with out much thinkin and am regrettin it in the pocket book. love the CTD! truck is worn out [:@]

good luck!

I agree that is asking too much. I paid a lot less than that for my 1994 and it also had over 200,000 miles on it. Definently check the front end because it can be worn out and you'll have a death wobble. Trust me I've just about replaced the whole front end on mine.
