Cool,, I know the feeling, I parked mine when we went to Fla. for two weeks,, I was sooooo glad to be back in it. My daughter still has 5 more yrs to go before she starts school. She did have her first day in daycare last week,,,,, she is sick as a dog now and has given it to me too,,,, we both spent the morning in the Drs office. [:@]
get used to it. DAY CARES have the WORST ILLNESS records. home providers are better. just have to find the right one...

take the time and dig into the daycare centers records with the city, health dept, state agencies, etc. whats the child - adult ratio? do they have 24/7 surveilence through out the building?

- rest of comments on daycares kept to self - [:@]

when your girl is about 3 yrs old (and if they have em where ya live) try to get her into a pre school MONTESSORI program. at least she would be taught usefull things. (some states have CHARTER schools that are funded like a public school, it includes Montessori's).

* Montessori = teaching system developed by Mrs Montessori way way back. the public school system was originaly based on her technique but politics and $$ took over and ruined it all. they combine 3 age groups (1st, 2nd, 3rd grades...and so on) they learn at their own pace. older kids help younger ones learn..hence reinforcement for older students of how to do stuff...very interesting tecnique. these schools usually have 2 teachers per class of 15 or so.
oh yea, test scores are higher than the average public school kid too!

3 of 4 of mine have been schooled this way. my oldest i now in a 5 yr charter jr/ sr high school. limited space, good student teacher ratio, high test scores!!!

my oldest girl finished 7th grade this year.
next year I will have em like this:

1st grade
2nd grade
4th grade
8th grade

congrats to all of you guys who are on their first! thats the hardest step. when ya hit four, you feel like your ready to retire ....or was that retread????
Are those all girls? dang, once they reach high school, you might as well shave your head, otherwise you're just going to end up pulling it all out...

(Also, can I recommend a nice double barreled shotgun and a cleaning kit?)

As for me, I walked last weekend, and receive my degree in August...

Everytime I see a 'proud pappa' condeming his furtuer son-in-law to death I can't help but giggle. A buddy of mine has QUADS (and no i don't mean a polaris). 3 girls and 1 boy all gonna be going through puberty at the same time. The poor man dosen't even drink.
