Default edge or quadzilla?

what module does everyone recomend? i am looking for significant power gains but i do not want to blow my transmission. i like the edge because it will moniter and defuel when the trans starts slipping but it is expensive. i have read on here that people lover the quadzilla and i like its price alot better. but does the quadzilla have any protection like the edge? or what about the tst? i dont want a programmer because i dont want to erase and redownload my computer and whatever else is involved with that. i want just a module that plugs in and it adjustable on the fly. what are everyones thoughts on this matter? thanks

Id reccomend the Edge, it has a ton of built in safety features to protect your truck.

I'll second the Edge. Make sure you get the Attitude monitor, it adds a ton of functionality to it.

I'd stay away from that TST unless you REALLY wanna make big power.................and need to upgrade more hard parts to do so.

I have the predator, its a little different than the edge tho becaus it doesnt dump fuel as much, but on the good side it does run alot cooler. Seems to make smoother shifting in my auto too.

Predator is a good programmer, but he says he didn't wanna go that route.

If you looking for something that you can adjust on the fly, I guess I would go with the Edge w/Monitor. Just seems to be what people prefer and there seems to be lots of benifits. I had the Quadzilla XZT which just plugs in, no adjusting on the fly or anything. I loved it. 65hp and 165ft/tq. I noticed a hand calculated improvement of up to 4 mpg. Most of the time it was 3 mpg. I was very impressed with the power it had. The only reason I got rid of it was because I got a great deal on a TST. If you are at all interested in the Quadzilla, I have it for sale; just PM me.

I am still playing with the TST, but I seem to notice more bottem end power with the Quadzilla, but once over 1800 rpms or so, the TST just keeps pulling. I've noticed that my mpg has gone down about 1-2 mpg, but still up 1-2 from stock.

Whatever you choose, your gonna love the power. It's a blast.

Cumminalong, the predator I have is not a programmer but instead a inline module, Plug n Play

I guess I don't know if they are compatible or not. I know they share one of the sensors, I forgot which. Not sure how good that would be for me though, I'm having a tough enough time keeping the TST dialed down.

Quadzilla tuners should be shift on the fly and safety features w/ the Quad Commander unit hooked together.
