Default Gear oil quandry

Hey, I am about to put my mag-hytec covers on and I cannot find 75w-90 for less than 7.50 a quart. I can buy a gallon of ap/gl-5 80w-90 for about 8.50. Is it ok to use 80w-90 instead? Seems ok, any suggestions before I do the duty.

Not being a smart butt. But I only put the best in my truck. I do not care what it cost. I paid 44k your my truck and wont it to last a life time. That's why I paid $12/qt for Royal Purple 75w-90w. It maid a world of difference are far as temperature. Small price to pay for a piece of mind. Pay the few extra bucks and know you got the best. I would use Amsoil or Royal Purple. The best for the best. You already spent alott on the covers. Do it right.

i agree stick with the best and you will achieve the best results, leave the cheap stuff fo rthe power jokes. after all the repairs they need to have they will only be able to afford that stuff.
