Default fuel cut out ?

well guys, my 2002 automatic cummins is acting wierd today...i got a programmer from a friend of mine to try before i buy ype deal. its an older superchips model and i hook it up and for some reason if hammer on it itll go like a bat out of hell all the way to 3rd and then itll get to 2000rpm and just seems like it cuts out of fuel...my foot will be to the floor and it will only stay at about 2000rpm, and you cant hear the turbo anymore...i dont understand it, seems like a fuel sut out or maybe something with the waste gate ? all i know is it wakes right up and then with foot to floor from a stop it shifts through 2 gears with the turbo whistling its *** off and all of a sudden gets to 2000rpm in 3rd gear and stays there, if you wait a few second and keep it at 2000rpms it will start top take off for a second and u can hear the turbo then cut back down! wtf is this ?

Sounds like the chip is messing with the fueling. Pull the chip off and it should go away.
