Default Suspension upgrades...

Looking to pick up these mini leaf packs (on the bottom of the page) to replace the overload spring in the back... does anyone have any feedback they could provide on them?

http://www.lorenzindustries.com/products_leafs.html

at the same time, i'm considering the skyjacker d25 springs (approx 3" lift) and removing the spacers to give me a tad more clearance for my tires. does anyone have any feedback on these as well?

TIA...

I have the Lorenz Bilstien 5100 Suspension. The mini rear leafs make a different ride than stock. A lot smoother ride over rougher terrian. Your back end does not hop around. Just dailey driving on highways and city streets makes a difference. The dual purpose rear leafs upgrade from the mini pack is even better ride. I would recommend the system I have to give you the tire clearence for 35"/37" or the Carli Starter System. Same practical system and a $100 difference between the two. I see your in Elk Grove. Swing buy Donny's Garage in Elk Grove. He is a Authorize Carli Dealer/ Installer. May have a truck there for you to test drive w/ a system in it.

I was looking to avoid spending 1300~1600 for a complete system... the Lorenz rear spring packs are only $400, that plus the 3" coils from skyjacker should help out the ride... I have heard that the spacers tend to make the ride harsher but cant say for sure... either way, I need 2.5" to 3" of front lift to get my tires to stop rubbing, if I can help the ride quality on the cali hiways even better... Calif. people know what I'm talking about... 5th larges economy in the world (supposedly) with the worst roads. I will check Donny's out sometime next week... Thanks for the heads up.

You are correct about the coil spacers. They do give a harsher ride than a coil replacement. I had the Tuff Country Coil level spacers on before my suspension kit. I don't know what the price for the Skyjacker coils are, but I believe the Lorenz and Carli Coils are $400 or $500. You can buy seperate components w/ these suspensions. When you go to Donny's you'll find out more if it fits what you want to do.

The skyjackers are $195 shipped from Summit Racing. between those and the rear mini leaf packs it eats up the $630 bux sitting in my paypal account. I originally wanted the variable rate coil that Kore has but @ 1500 bux I cant justify it. I think I can get what I want out of it going this way. The only thing I might have to do is swap the control arms to a longer arm... I'll have to wait & see.
