01 24 valve performance upgrade

wondering what the best upgrade is for these engines 24 valve cummins and or what to stay away from.

I'd start with gauges and a lift pump if I were you. After that I start toying with the intake and exhaust.

DEFINATELY get a new lift pump ASAP though !!!

I got an edge comp box on mine and haven't had any problems.

Low pressure fuel pump that supplies the high pressure injection pump.

lift pump goes bad, injection pump fries.

Lift pump = cheap

Injection pump = $$$

Lift pump (Fuel transfer pump). It pulls fuel from the tank and supplies it to the injection pump.

i got an air intake, edge comp 100hp chip and 4" exhaust. truck runs great!!!
