I tries to search but cant find the litre amounts i need. i want to change oil in front and rear diffs on a 2004 ram 2500 4X4.Before I dump my oil (cover) i want to buy oil first. how much do i need? Will a 4 litre jug do both diffs or do i need 6 or 8 litres? for both?
am i the only that has wanted to do this? everyone else takes it to garage for diff oil changes? Id say approximately 3 litres per diff (6 in total)...am i right?
it's about a full gallon for the rear and a bit over half a gallon for the front. . .you need synthetic and the best over the counter would be mobil. I'm partial to AMSoil personaly
i just picked up 8litres of amsoil severe gear 75w90 synthetic. ill put it in tommorrow. does any1 know torque specs on diff covers or just make them a bit more tighter than snug?
