I just aquired a gooseneck trailer. I need a gooseneck hitch.
Have any of you built your own? Im looking for a hitch so if you have designs to build one or know where one is for cheap let me know

 

it is going to be better if you just out right buy a hitch. . .trying to fab something up is only asking for trouble.

I would go with a B&W hitch. They mount right up to the holes in the frame so it makes for a quick & clean install. Good luck.

 

I alsouse a B & W gooseneck hitch. If you look attheir flip-over ball, it seems that it may have been machined from a solid billet - so the manufacturer must expect some hellish forces back there.
If you build, I hope you use veryhigh grade materials.

Buy one, they are fairly cheap.

does the BW gooseneck hitch clamp onto the frame in the new dodge 3500??

 

B&W's bolt to the frame in all their models, that's their main selling point (no drilling). But if a B&W is out of your price range Tractor Supply stocks gooseneck hitch plates that bolt through the bed and frame for around $100 or less.
