Default Isnt draining the transfer case easy?

i was under truck today and looked at transfer case and realized "it looks esay to drain and fill" why take it to garage for this or do they flush it somehow? Has any1 hera just opened plug and then filled it again? Do you just fill it with ATF+4 and how much does it need to refill? I also noticed 2 drain plug looking things which 1 do i crack open? pic would be appreciated. thanks

it should be a piece of cake... drain & fill. download the manual from hemitruckclub.com and have a look at the maintanace on the transfer case...

2 plugs. Lower one is to drain. Top one is to fill. Nothing special about it. Fill it like you would a diff, but this is actually easier cause no cover to RTV back on.
