He does have the newer transmission, I didn't ever think of the gears beeing different in that from the one I have.

I just checked out that website with the pictures of a Gear Vendor's instulation. Man I would love to get one of those units on my truck. If only they weren't so much money. They are sure proud of that product.

the NV5600 that I have has a finaly ratio(6th gear) of .72, the G56 has a 6th gear of .79. that is why it seems like he's got 4.10's. but dont feel too bad. . .Ive got 4.10's myself. bairly use 2nd to start off with unless I'm loaded.

oh and the gear vendors overdrive unit is VERY nice. . .I want one when I win the lottery, or when triton cannot spend any more money on his truck and lets me have a little[8D]

Some of the 1990's medium duty Ford commerical trucks have the GearVendors unit from the factory. When at a junkyard, it might pay to look under any Ford commerical delivery trucks.
