Wow, what a day wheeling...
Jake, for a good portion along the trail, there was great cell service. I couldnt believe it when I got 4 calls& 2 text messeges
only responded to my kids and they were shocked that there was snow.
Beach, I'm still up for doing the meet & greet thing however the trail thing might have to wait with my current tranny issues. There were only a couple of interested people, I think part of it may have been the trail thing. there arent a whole lot of people dragging their $35k trucks out there and I understand why. I had tossed out the 16th as a possible meet day but I doubt my truck will be available. Maybe the better thing to do is push it into July or just have a meet & greet and skip the trail part. what do you think?

technicaly they are roads, none of which are maintained. the drop down to Fordyce Lake is not made for anything without ground clearance and I'm not sure if a 2x4 would make it. There are a couple of spots that are a pretty good drop off. Mike mentioned that I came inches from smacking my rear diff. All of this is in the Tahoe National Forest.
Cool.
On the rear diff, look into getting you a half Spider diff rock guard from Purple Cranium. Not only do they look cool, they are super solid. Cheap insurance to protect the complete rear diff. I am very happy with the one I have. I had the full guard but my rear sway bar was in the way at the top and it wouldn't fit. They swapped it out for me for the half guard and all has been great ever since.

Do they make one for the 2500's? I'll have to go take a look later. More important tasks at the moment, today is the day we're swapping in the new springs & leaf packs [sm=icon_rock.gif]
Well, I might be in redding next weekend for the diesel drags I'm not sure yet. My buddies trying to get me to go participate in the drags but I haven't done anything to my truck and I am pretty sure that I will get smoked. But who knows. I might take the trip up there just to see what happens.
