a diesel thing, I belive dont quote me, but the manual might say every 15000 miles, for diesel. I think gas you can go damn near forever. Diesel is much thicker and I was running two stroke in it for a while. Now just lucas, but for 13 minutes of work, $18.00 at napa, to keep contaminants out of my motor, I will do it.

Same here, my first diesel and jsut want to take care of it. use the power and not tear it up over being too cheap for $18.00. maazing how some people do not maintain there vehicle, I have a friend that will not put any money into his cars, then comes crying to me to work on them when it over heats or is running like crap. a little money now saves a lot in the future

gassers can go sometimes near 30K before the fuel filter needs to be changed. diesel is a very dirty fuel to begin with. in 5K the filter can go from a nice white to the nastiest black you can imagine. last time I changed a fuel filter on a gasser when it clogged the media was only a bit brownish.

I've changed mine 3 times in 16K and after seeing them with different mileage on them I now feel safe to where I think I can go 7500 miles or more on my fuel filters. No I'm not being cheap but the filters look to dam good to throw out, I guess we have too much clean of fuel in my area Of course delivering dirty fuel to farmers is a big no no so that may be why we have such clean fuel around here.

I rana lot of two stroke on my trip and I think that caused a lot of the build up in mine. plus I do not know when it was changed prior to me buying the truck as Dodge did not tell me.
