Mayfair, we have a fueling network here that all the trucking companies use. All unmanned and 24 hours a day. Just swipe your card and it comes out of your account at the end of the month. They send you a statement in the mail. No muss no fuss and probably fresher fuel.

Pay inside - yes - pay at the pump, not usually. Even in Jersey where they have to pump the gas for you they still don't have pay at the pump. I wasthinking it's because of the gas re-bate credit cards since most people filling up with diesel are getting more than the average Joe, but that can't be it can it?

Maybe it was a misprint. I have seen diesel pumps at truck stops in PA with 2 different CENTANE ratings and about $0.12 difference.

there is no difference between regular #2 and the "premium" stuff. . .diesel is only produced at one grade. anything else would only be JP8 or #1 Kerosene

i have to pay inside from time to time and i think its because of the diesel pump is always out of the cashiers sight. out of 12 pumps only one is diesel and its at the far out corner is most stations. thats just my thoughts tho... 2.67, thats not bad. i havent seen anything cheaper here than 2.79 in a while...

This is interesting, since I got my truck, I've always been able to pay at the pump even out of state. Must be where I live I guess.........

Never noticed the octane thing. Never had to go inside to pay in Indiana, but rather a royal pain when the pump shuts down when it reaches $64 ! Then ya have to re-swipe and continue fueling. I guess it's a pump and run thing, but if you swiped a card, then you are not pumping and runnin'....hmmmm Why I'm at it, does anyone elses truck exhaust smell funny since ULS?

I know what's wrong! The price is too low, you lucky $(*#/. Diesel is $3.20 out here and gas is $3.37. [:@]

Diesel has been setting at 2.89 here in Indiana for a few months ...Gas was at 3.59 just3 weeks ago, but the magic of fedralgouging law made it drop to....2.88! I feel almost good about 2.89!!!

Mayfair, the only thing I can think of is to prevent people from filling big rigs at the regular pump. In Arizona and I can assume nationwide there is a big fine for that and stickers all over the pump specifying a axle and weight limit for using the certain pumps. Probably has to do with the way truckers track miles and get taxed or some crap like that.
