dont worry about it. . .this mainly applies to older vehicles. the seals on current engines, and synthetics have gotten far better than what they were in the past. . .you can change over without any problems. . .heck I changed my yodas engine over to synthetics at 115K with no issues.

alrighty sweet thanks for the advice drew. Should i run a standard oil additive like a seal enhancer to help prevent any possibility? Before I do switch over?

the donaldson filter from amsoil filters at a smaller particle than the wix filter. . .I'll leave it at that.

oh, and I would only go 15K or farther only if you are doing oil analysis.

Where can I get oil analysis done at? What do you mean at a smaller particle. ? Do you mean it'll pick up smaller particles than a wix filter? Also if i am getting oil analysis how often do you change your oil filter every 3k ?

You can also get an oil analysis kit from Amsoil. They use Oil Analyzers Inc, which I think is owned by Amsoil. If you have a dealer or preferred customer account at Amsoil the kit costs $15 postage paid.

Also the UOA Kit from Amsoil will give you a TBN number at no extra cost unlike Blackstone Labs who wants and extra $10.00 for TBN. My self I got the non potage paid kits and will pay the postage my self as I think I can mail it cheaper then the $5.00 they charge for the potage paid one when I send it in later this fall.
