yep, 28 gallons worth of unleaded[:@]

Ran about a 1/4 mile and shut down. I thought it was related to the lift pump replacement I did earlier in the week..that maybe my injector pump was gone. So I replaced the fuel filter on the side of the road, primed it and even cracked the injectors to verify I had fuel up there. NEVER dawned on me that I had put unleaded in, except that i did smell something funny in the filter, thought it was fuel additive, ha!!

Had the truck towed to the local dodge dealership, since i had an appt. set up anyway to check the injector pump. It was the svc. manager who suggested gas/diesel mixup. They had two earlier this month, and said that it usually does'nt harm anything, just pump out the gas, put diesel in, R&R the FF and bleed.
Should have it back this evening, so good on them if they get it done.

What pizzes me off kinda, is that the fuel pump handle was GREEN, and right next to the diesel handle that looks like it's for the big rigs. I gotta go back and check it out. I feel like I have a big "L" on my forehead right now

 

dude you need to just find a hole because when some of the boys get ahold of this on here ur gonna get owned.

 

If you wanted a gasser I could have sold you my 06 1500 instead of trading it in. I feel for you when maiyfair see's this.

 

[sm=WTFsgign.gif]lol,thats the kinda stuff you do NOT want to post! if that makes you feel more stupid then maybe this will make you feel a little better. we got a dump truck at work thats brand new, a chevy with a diesel cat engine in it. well one of our guys went to fill it up at a station and put about 75 gallons of gas into it and drove for about 3 miles. he comes back and the whole truck is smokin, running like a dog. we couldent figure it out untill a few minutes later we opened the fuel tank and smelt it. dident ruin our truck so im sure yours will be alright. what you need to do to make this situation fair for all of us is take a picture of yourself, photo shop an "L" on your forhead, and make it you sig picture

 

Hopefully you didn't do any damage. Injectors really hate gas. Now I gotta rag on ya a little

Just spoke to the service mgr. He said, " oh yeah, you're the one with the "Geisel fuel". They're putting diesel in it right now. crossin' my fingers..

I deserve whatever ya'll can throw at me..bring it on

 

Im not saying a word...not a word...no matter how tempting it is...but I really want to...dont I?...Yes I do...but I cant...I dont think...well maybe...ummm how did you do this? I can understand the green handle issue...but one says "Diesel" the other say's "Unleaded"
Well I hope everything is O.K., and you can walk away laughing about it, I did the same thing when I was 18 to my ex in-laws Volvo.

thanks for the story. It did make me feel better. i think. Cost me $360 overall including the unleaded. there goes this weekend's profit. Oh well, have a laugh on me!
