Should I do something about my suspension??
So I had my sister-in-law in the truck the other day and she looked at me after a particular bumpy section of freeway and in an odd tone said "Ma'am have you been shaking your baby...No officer but she has been riding in my Dodge."
I guess she just hasn't been in a real truck before

Its a 3500, what do you expect? If it had a ton of brick in the bed it would ride like a caddy

I agree with what Ben said. It is a Heavy Duty truck and it is supposed to ride that way. I would have looked over in my classic and humorous manly-man smirk and replied in an overly deep voice that..."It's a MAN"S truck!" I have a buddy who is a die-hard Chevy man (I'm a Chevy/Mopar guy as you can see from my signature) and is constantly touting the Cadillac like ride of the Chevy trucks because of their independent front suspension. Now for me, that is actually a disadvantage. First of all, the GM's are way more expensive to lift because of that set-up, and will also have less axle articulation off-road. Most truck-guys will agree over the advantages of the solid-front axle for strength, reliability, maintenance, etc. This is a main selling point for me, and one of the reasons I am choosing a Dodge as my next truck versus the Chevy. My cars have always been lowered muscle/sports cars with stiff suspensions for handling, or lifted trucks with jouncy suspensions. I say...ride schmide...it's all about the performance. Another complaint you always hear is about the high step-in height of the Dodge. And, yet another reason some people like the Chevy better. Just shows that everyone has different likes and opinions. So if you like it, that's all that matters. You do like it .... right? LOL.

The 3500 has an extra leaf for increased loads (from what KLM told me). You can have that removed an it will ride a little softer, like a 2500. They mentioned it to me when I had my KORE suspension installed for wheeling off-road. The KORE kits would soften the ride, but they're kinda pricey for on road use.
